Join IRSO

When you become a member of IRSO, you are joining an Institute that is dedicated to saving lives and reducing injuries on our roads.

IRSO provides opportunities for individual practitioners to express their views on road safety issues and facilitates direct access to experts and policy makers in all areas of road safety. You will gain from the personal contact and networking opportunities with professionals working either directly in road safety or who play an influencing role through health promotion, research and development, sustainable travel, travel planning, master planning, transport strategy development and many more related disciplines.

Once your membership application has been accepted, you are entitled to use the appropriate post-nominal after your name on all forms of correspondence. The post-nominal will depend on your level of membership (you will be informed of this by the Registrar). We provide a post-nominal to all members to reflect their professionalism.

Importantly, IRSO membership provides all practitioners with an opportunity to influence the wider road safety profession by scoping the activities of the Institute, providing responses to national consultation exercises, and improving the quality of road safety delivery in the UK and beyond through a strategic learning and sharing process.
