The importance and benefits of a structured training programme encouraging continuing professional development cannot be over emphasised.

The Training Record is intended to assist you and your employer in developing your potential as a road safety professional. It can be used in conjunction with your employer's induction package and may be used as a guide to further training.

Your employer should, over a period of time, go through this document with you, and cover all the points to which it refers. This is not a definitive document on Road Safety but rather the starting point, which you and your employer can develop over your entire career in the profession.
