Pupils across South Lanarkshire have been learning about the responsibilities involved in becoming a driver and having your own car. The play, Friends Disunited, follows the lives of four friends, one of whom gets a new car for their birthday.

Road Safety play highlights dangers

Pupils across South Lanarkshire have been learning about the increased risk of road accidents during the transition from primary to secondary school. The play, The Nine Lives of Roddy Hogg, was commissioned by Road Safety Scotland and performed by the Baldy Bane Theatre Company.

Teachers and children form the Walking Bus

Walking Bus gets pupils to school safely

Pupils from St Mark's Primary School have been using "Walking Bus" to get to school safely. There are two Walking Buses at St Mark's, both of which started just before the summer holidays. One of the Walking Buses starts at the Park & Stride point at St Mark's Church which means children who live too far from the school to walk all the way can still take part.
